Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the development of Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr has started a few days ago and the first daily builds are already available for download. Also, Ubuntu Touch is now based on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
The stable version of Ubuntu Touch is still based on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander. If you want to update your existing Ubuntu Touch version to the Trusty based one, do this, via cable:
$ phablet-flash ubuntu-system --channel trusty
This is because Ubuntu Touch doesn’t yet support OTA updates from Saucy to Trusty. After you switch to the Trusty channel, you will be able to perform OTA updates, like you did on Saucy.
Warning: After the update, you will use all the programs you have installed. The data from /home/phablet remains safe, so don’t worry about it.
