VLC 2.0.7 Has Been Released, How To Install VLC 2.0.7 On Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 and Linux Mint 15, 14, 13

As you may have heard, VLC Media Player 2.0.7 has been just released. It is not a major release, but it brings some bugfixes.

In this article I will show you how to Install VLC 2.0.7 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

This is what you have to do to install VLC 2.0.7 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint:

Add the repository:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/stable-daily

Update the local repository index:

$ sudo apt-get update

Install VLC:

$ sudo apt-get install vlc
