Vuze 5.0.0.1 Beta 31 Has Been Released With Small Improvements | How To Install Vuze 5.0.0.1 Beta 31 On Ubuntu And Linux Mint

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Vuze, ex Azureus, is a BitTorrent client with the normal functions of such a program:

  • multiple downloads
  • queuing / prioritizing files
  • start / stop seeding options

The application has been updated in the latest hours, reaching version Vuze 5.0.0.1 Beta 31. From the official dev blog:

  • Bug fixes (fixed sort of Progress column, Peer sources in open-torrent dialog)
  • Added Console view to Library tabs (requires logging to be enabled)

Vuze 5.0.0.1 Beta 31 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

Because it is available via the GetDeb repositories, installing the latest version of Vuze 5.0.0.1 available is easy, just do:

$ wget -c wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install vuze
