A New Boot Splash Animation Is Now Tested On Ubuntu Touch

As you may know, Canonical is constantly updating Ubuntu Touch, all the changes being served to the users as an OTA Update.

With Ubuntu Touch OTA-5 Update released, the Ubuntu developers are now working at OTA-6, which will bring telephony improvements, better SMS support, and browser enhancements, among others.

Canonical’s Michael Hall has announced that a new boot splash animation is now tested on Ubuntu Touch. It features the the default wallpaper and the dot progression from the desktop boot splash.

For now, this has landed in the daily-build channel, but when it will be ready, it will replace both the default boot splash screen from Ubuntu Touch and Ubuntu Desktop.
