Canonical has started work at developing an open-source Evernote client for Ubuntu Touch, by using the Ubuntu SDK and allows the users to participate to the creation of the app. The aim of the application is to provice an Evernote app optimized for Ubuntu Touch.

Rafe Needleman, one of the Evernote developers also gave his feedback on Canonical’s work: “we’re excited to see the progress the Ubuntu Community can make in creating an Evernote integration and look forward to highlighting the work when it’s ready”.
As you may know, both Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and the first stable build of Ubuntu Touch will be released on the 17th of October. For now, only the Google Nexus devices have official support for Canonical’s mobile OS, but there are many other devices, including Xperia Tablet Z and OPPO Find 5 that have been tweaked to run with Ubuntu Touch.
