Yesterday, Łukasz Zemczak has reported that Canonical is already testing the Ubuntu Touch OTA-8.5 hotfix, a software update that comes to squash the bugs left undead on OTA-8.

If everything goes well, the OTA-8.5 will be released by the end of the year, while OTA-9 is scheduled for January 20, 2016. Speaking of OTA-9, the developers have announced that it will contain telephony improvements, an updated Messaging app with landscape mode fixes, PulseAudio and Bluez enhancements and Dialer app updates.
As a reminder, Ubuntu Touch is pre-installed on Bq Aquaris E4.5, Bq Aquaris E5 and Meizu MX4, but it is also supported on the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 devices.
