Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the first two Ubuntu Phone vendors are BQ and Meizu, but only BQ’s Ubuntu Phone is available for online ordering yet.

In an interview for Mobile World Live, Mark Shuttleworth has announced that the vendors are queuing to release Ubuntu phones.

Mark is also talking a about the Ubuntu developers, convergence, Internet of Things (ioT), and the big number of devices that already use Ubuntu on different architectures: i386, x86_64, ARM, and the security provided by the .click packages, an essential thing for the ioT.

For now, the Ubuntu Phones are popular only among the Ubuntu fans, but this will change as soon as more vendors adopt the phone and the main Android and iOS apps become available for Ubuntu Touch.
