Company Employees Usually Download Torrent Files That Endanger Their Work Stations

According to a report made by Peer to Peer Peril, about 39% of the games and 43% of the apps available via torrent portals are infected with malware.

It looks like one of four company employees download torrent files witch are often infected with malware. BitSight includes data from over 30.700 companies and 23% of them have incoming P2P activities, which is prohobited by company policies in order to avoid copyright infringement and avoid malicious software.

The top also states that the most popular 5 games infected with malware are Grand Theft Auto V, The Sims 4, Mortal Kombat X, FIFA 15, and The Witcher 3, while the top 5 apps are Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows 8.1, Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows 10.
