As you may remember, Dota 2 has debuted to Linux via Steam as a testing version, which did not allow Linux users to play against Windows ones, because they used different servers. But now, Dota 2 has been officially released for Linux and can be easily played with Steam.

If you fire up your Steam Linux client, Dota 2 should be there! Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena that is the successor to the original Defense of Ancients mod. Dota 2 is powered by Valve’s Source Engine.
Requirements for Dota 2 on Linux (via Steam): Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, 2.8 Ghz Dual Core CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 4 GB free space.
