Hello Linux Geeksters. Enlightenment is a stacking window manager for the X Window System. It can be used as a standalone desktop environment, or as an window manager for Gnome or KDE. The latest unstable version available of E17 is Enlightenment 0.17.4, while the latest stable version is Enlightenment 0.17.3. Enlightenment is also the default Window Manager of Tizen OS, Samsung & Intel’s operating system created in response to Google’s Android.
