As you may know, AppCenter is an open source Software Center, built on the Fedora PackageKit. It has an intuitive graphical user interface, has the applications available organised in categories and provides a search bar, in order to allow the user to easily install packages on the system.
When the user searches for some app, it get details, screenshots, and an Install and Remove button. AppCenter is still under development, so don’t expect it to be bugless.
In this article I will show you how to install AppCenter on Fedora 19. Because it is available via some repository, installing it is easy. All you have to do is:
$ sudo yum install wget
$ sudo wget -P/etc/yum.repos.d/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/appcenterfedora/files/fedora/appcenter.repo
$ sudo yum update
$ yum install appcenter
