Hello Linux Geeksters. In this article I will show you how to install Torcs on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

TORCS comes from “The Open Racing Car Simulator”. It is a multiplatform open-source racing game, running on Linux, BSD, Mac OS X or Windows.

Torcs has 50 different cars, over 20 tracks, and many opponents to rage against. It can be played with keyboard, mouse, joystick, steering wheel and maybe other gaming devices. You can play in both single player, or multiplayer, with 3 other friends, on the same screen, split in four.

Because it is in the Universe repository, all you have to do to install Torcs on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install torcs
