Hello Linux Geeksters. Comic Neue is a set of free fonts providing an alternative to Microsoft’s popular Comic Sans font.

In this article I will show you how to install the Comic Neue font on the most popular Linux systems, including: Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, Debian, Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia and OpenMandriva.
Installing Comic Neue on the most popular Linux systems is easy. Follow the below instructions exactly, in order to get a successful installation.
Download Comic Neue and move the fonts to /usr/share/fonts, to make them system wide:
$ wget comicneue.com/comic-neue-1.1.zip
$ unzip comic-neue-1.1.zip
$ sudo mkdir -p /usr/share/fonts/comicneue
$ sudo cp -r comic-neue-1.1 /usr/share/fonts/comicneue
Use the below command to refresh the font cache:
$ sudo fc-cache -f -v
