In this article I will show you how to install Skype Wrapper 6.5.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

First, we have to install Skype. Since it is available via the Canonical Partner Repository, installing it is easy. Just do:

$ sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ $(lsb_release -sc) partner"
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install skype

Next, we have to add the Skype Wrapper PPA to our system, update the local repo index and install the skype-wrapper package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:skype-wrapper/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install skype-wrapper
