How To Easily Convert NRG Images To ISO, On The Most Popular Linux Systems

Hello Linux Geeksters. nrg2iso is a nice command line tool, that enables the users to easily convert NRG images to ISO.

In this article I will show you the easiest way for converting NRG (Nero disk Images) to ISO, on the most popular Linux systems, including: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Debian Sid, Debian Jessie, Debian Wheezy, Debian Squeeze, Mageia 4, Mageia, 3, Fedora 20, Fedora 19, and Fedora 18.

For all the listed Linux systems, the nrg2iso tool is available in the default repositories, so installing it is easy.

How to install nrg2iso on Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint and Elementary OS:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install nrg2iso

How to install nrg2iso on Fedora:

$ sudo yum update
$ sudo yum install nrg2iso

How to install nrg2iso on Mageia:

$ sudo urmpi.update -a
$ sudo urmpi nrg2iso

Usage instructions:

Converting nrg to iso is easy. Just open a terminal and type: nrg2iso image.nrg image.iso
