How To Enable Both Natural Scrolling And Horizontal Scrolling On Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander And Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail

Hello Linux Geeksters. In this article I will show you how to enable both Natural Scrolling on Horizontal Scrolling on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail. In the previous Ubuntu versions, the horizontal scrolling could be activated via “Mouse and Touchpad” settings, but this feature is not available anymore.

We will use the dconf tool for enabling both Natural Scrolling and Horizontal Scrolling, from the graphical user interface.

Let’s start: Press Alt + F2, type dconf-editor and hit Enter.

From the left side, choose org –> gnome –> settings-daemon –> peripherals –>touchpad:

In the right window, thick horiz-scroll-enabled and natural-scroll, like in the above screenshot.
