How To Install Aria2 1.17 On Ubuntu 13.10/13.04/12.10/12.04 And Linux Mint 15/14/13

In this article I will show you how to install Aria 2.1.17 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

Because Aria2 1.17 is available in the default repositories of Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Linux Mint 16 Petra, installing it is easy, all you have to do is:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install aria2

To install Aria2 1.17 on Ubuntu 13.04/12.10/12.04 and Linux Mint 15/14/13, we have to use a third party PPA. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository tujikawa/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install aria2
