In this article I will show you how to install Audacity 2.0.3 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
For Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Linux Mint 16 Petra and Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Audacity 2.0.3 is available in the default PPAs, so to install it, just do:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install audacity
To install Audacity 2.0.3 on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya, you have to add the Audacity Daily Build PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:audacity-team/daily
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install audacity
