In this article I will show you how to install Beatbox on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.
As you may know, BeatBox is a free music player, simple and fast. To see how to add it to the Ubuntu sound menu, or to remove it from there, see this article.
Install Beatbox on Ubuntu:
Add the repository:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sgringwe/beatbox
Update the repository index:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install Beatbox:
$ sudo apt-get install beatbox
