Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Bodhi Linux 3.0.0 Beta, based on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr uses a custom version of Enlightenment 19 (E19) as the default desktop environment, called Bodhi Desktop. The stable version of Bodhi Linux 3.0.0 is scheduled for August, 2014.

In this article I will show you how to install Bodhi Desktop on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
Because it is available via the Bodhi Linux repositories, installing Bodhi Desktop on Ubuntu 14.04 is easy. All you have to do is add the repository to your system, update the local repository index and install the bodhi-desktop package. Like this:
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://packages.bodhilinux.com/bodhi trusty main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install packagekit
$ sudo apt-get install bodhi-desktop
After the installation has been successfully done, choose Enlightenment from the LightDM Greeter.
