Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Caffeine is an interesting app that prevents your computer from going to sleep when some programs are running. From a simple and intuitive GUI, the user creates a list of applications that forbid the computer to sleep, when the specified apps are running.
This is very good when you are watching movies or listening to music and you don’t need your computer to go to sleep. The latest version available is Caffeine 2.6.
In this article I will show you how to install Caffeine 2.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Caffeine 2.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr. All you have to do is add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the caffeine package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:caffeine-developers/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install caffeine
