In this article I will show you how to install Cairo Dock 3.2.1 on Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 14 and Linux Mint 13 via PPA.

Cairo-Dock is similar to a taskbar, where you have a bunch of shortcuts and control your favourite apps: music players, twitter, torrents, downloads, internet browsers, RSS readers, mail readers, etc.

The easiest way for installing Cairo Dock 3.2.1 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is by PPA. All you have to do is this:

Add the PPA:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team/ppa

Update the repos:

$ sudo apt-get update

Install Cairo-Dock:

$ sudo apt-get install cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins
