In this article I will show you how to install Cairo Dock 3.2.1 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Among other new features Cairo Dock 3.2.1 has support for multi-screen and encrypted disks. You can also take screenshots with one click, from the Cairo Dock bar.
This is what you have to do to install Cairo Dock on Ubuntu and Linux Mint.
Add the PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team/ppa
Update the system:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install Cairo Dock 3.2.1:
$ sudo apt-get install cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins
The first time you open cairo-dock, you get the following screen. Thick to remember the choice and press yes.
