Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Cairo-Dock is a fast and light desktop interface that takes the shape of docks, docklets, panels, etc. The latest version available is Cairo-Dock 3.3.2. For a full list of features and enhancements brought by the latest Cairo-Dock version, see this link.

In this article I will show you how to install Cairo Dock 3.3.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA installing Cairo Dock 3.3.2 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the needed ppas to your system, update the local repository index and install the cairo-dock package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cairo-dock-team/ppa
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.10
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cairo-dock
