Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Calendar indicator is simply an indicator that integrates the Google Calendar into the Unity desktop. Among others, it allows the users to easily add new calendar or events, synchronized with the Google Calendar. The latest version available is Calendar Indicator 0.3.1, which is available only for Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr derivates.

In this article I will show you how to install Calendar Indicator 0.3.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
Because it is available via the Atareao PPA, installing Google Calendar 0.3.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa, update the local repository index and install the calendar-indicator package. Like this:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install calendar-indicator
Optional, to remove calendar-indicator, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove calendar-indicator
