How To Install Calibre 0.9.34 on Ubuntu 13.10, 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 And Linux Mint 15, 14, 13

The new Calibre 0.9.34, an open-source book management software, has been recently released. Among other new features, it is capable of converting Microsoft Office 2007’s DOCX formats.

The new Calibre supports lists, images, text formating, footnotes and endnotes, an others. Calibre 0.9.34 allows users to navigate back with the key combination Alt – Left Arrow and forward with Alt – Left Arrow.

To install Calibre 0.9.34 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya, do:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/calibre
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install calibre
