Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Calligra Suite is a free Office Suite application, similar to LibreOffice, developed and added by default to the KDE desktop environment. The latest version available is Calligra 2.7.1, which has been released yesterday, bringings some DOCX enhancements.

It has support for the most popular file formats, plus EPUB, QML, PSD, allows the user to export the text files to CSV or ODS, or to add mathematical formulas. For more information, see the official site.
In this article I will show you how to install Calligra 2.7 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Calligra 2.7 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy. All you have to do is:
Add the PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
Update the repo index:
$ sudo apt-get update
