Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Choqok an open source instant messaging client for Linux, having out of the good Twitter support. Being a KDE application, it is build with the Qt libraries.
It allows the users to easily use multiple accounts simultaneously, quick reply, send and receive messages, automatic shortening support of URLs, and many other userful things. The latest version available is Choqok 1.4, that comes with a few improvements and bug fixes.
In this article I will show you how to install Choqok 1.4 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Installing Choqok 1.4 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy, all you have to do is add the repository, update the local repo index and install the choqok package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:adilson/experimental
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install choqok
