Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Claws Mail is an email client and news reader, written in GTK+. It has a simple and intuitive interface, allowing the user to manage their mails easilly. The latest version available is Claws Mail 2.9.2. For a full list of features, see the changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install Claws Mail 3.9.2 on Debian Jessie, Debian Sid and Debian Wheezy.
Because Claws Mail 3.9.2 is available in the default repositories of Debian Sid and Debian Jessie, installing it is easy. Just do:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install claws-mail
To install Claws Mail 3.9.2 on Debian Wheezy, we have to add the Debian Wheezy Backports repository first. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian wheezy backports main'
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install claws-mail
