Hello Linux Geeksters. I have previously written a how to guide on how to install Conky Manager on Ubuntu and Linux Mint. The developers have updated Conky Manager to Conky Manager 1.2, adding 3 more Conky themes,to theĀ existing ones: CPUPanel, Gotham, NvidiaPanel, Cowon Conky, Gold&Grey, MaxConky,Torn Paper Clone
As you may know, Conky Manager is a graphical user interface, over the Conky configuration files, it makes easier for the user to enable or disable the Conky themes for displaying the cpu usage, memory usage, network traffic and others. Some Linux operating systems, like Pinguy OS come with Conky installed by default. Read more on the developer’s blog.
In this article I will show you how to install Conky Manager 1.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because Conky Manager 1.2 is available via PPA, all you have to do to install it is:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:teejee2008/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install conky-manager
Conky Manager is a graphical user interface, over the Conky configuration files.
