Cool Reader 3 is an open source lightweight e-book reader, based on XML and CSS. It is multiplatform, works on Linux, Windows or Android and has support for FB2, TXT, RTF, DOC, HTML, EPUB, CHM, PDB or MOBI. With Cool reader, you can read books inside zip archives, without extracting.

In this article I will show you how to install Cool Reader 3 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

To install Cool Reader 3, just add the PPA, update the local repository index and install Cool Reader 3:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:vovansrnd/CoolReader
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cr3

To launch Cool Reader 3, just type Cool Reader in your Unity Dash:
