Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Coulr is an open-source application written in C++ and Qt that provides a color box for developers and designers, helping the users to easily create their own RBG, HSL, HSV colors by using dedicated sliders or fields.
The latest version available is Coulr 0.6, which has been recently released, bringing a “copy color” button. Also, it saves last color used, by default.
In this article I will show you how to install Coulr 0.6 on Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Coulr 0.6 on Ubuntu 14.10 is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the coulr package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:huluti/coulr
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install coulr
Optional, to remove coulr, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove coulr
