Darktable Description, from the official site:

Darktable is an open source photography workflow application and RAW developer. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them.

It is released under the GNU General Public Licence and works for Linux, OS X and Solaris.

On Ubuntu and Linux Mint, it can be installed via PPA.

For installing the stable releases, do this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install darktable

For installing the stable releases with some extras:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release-plus
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install darktable

For installing the unstable releases:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-unstable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install darktable
