Hello Linux Geeksters. Darktable Description, from the official site: Darktable is an open source photography workflow application and RAW developer. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them. It is released under the GNU General Public Licence and works for Linux, OS X and Solaris.
The latest version available is Darktable 1.2.3, which brings some improvements and fixes to the previous version, Darktable 1.2.2.
In this article I will show you how to install Darktable 1.2.3 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Darktable 1.2.3 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the darktable package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release
$ sudo apt-get update
