how to install DeVeDe 3.23.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Luna, Deepin 2014, Peppermint Five, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0

In this article I will show you how to install DeVeDe 3.23.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Luna, Deepin 2014, Peppermint Five, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0 and other Ubuntu 14.04 derivative systems.

Because it is available via PPA, installing DeVeDe 3.23.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 and derivative systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the devede package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mc3man/trusty-media
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install devede

Optional, to remove devede, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove devede
