Hello Linux Geeksters. EiskaltDC++ is a cross platform DC program, similar to Neomodus, DC++ and others. The latest version available is EiskaltDC++ 2.2.9, which comes with some improvements, to the previous version. For a full list of features and improvements, see the changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install EiskaltDC++ 2.2.9 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via some third party PPA, installing EiskaltDC++ 2.2.9 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is add the repository, update the local repo index and install the eiskaltdcpp package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tehnick/tehnick
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install eiskaltdcpp
