Hello Linux Geeksters. EmelFM2 is an cross-platform, open-source file manager, similar to Double Commander or Gnome Commander. The latest version available is EmelFM2 0.9.0. For a list of improvements and fixes brought by the previous version, see the official changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install emelFM2 0.9.0 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna and Pear OS 8.
Because it is available via PPA, installing emelFM2 0.9.0 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Pear OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa, update the local repository index and install the emelfm2 package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:emelfm2/release
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install emelfm2
