Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Evince is a document viewer, developed by the GNOME team. It has support for the most popular formats, including PDF, Postscript, djvu, tiff, dvi, XPS, cbr,cbz,cb7 and cbt. Evince 3.10 Beta 1 (Evince 3.9.90) is part of GNOME 3.10, which is not released yet.

In this article I will show you how to install Evince 3.10 Beta 1 (Evince 3.9.90) on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Linux Mint 16 Petra.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Evince 3.10 Beta 1 (Evince 3.9.90) on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy. Just add the needed repository, update the local repository index and install Evince:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install evince
