Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, a third party developer has created eVNC, an unofficial VNC client for Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, having support for controlling computers remotely, adding Bookmarks and taking screenshots.

The latest version available is eVNC 0.1, which can be installed on Ubuntu 14.04 and derivative systems.
In this article I will show you how to install eVNC 0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint Five, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0 and other Ubuntu 14.04 derivative systems.
Because it is available via PPA, installing eVNC 0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 and derivative systems is easy. All you have to do is add the needed ppas to your system, update the local repository index and install the evnc package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementary-os/daily
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:l-admin-3/apps-daily
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install evnc
Optional, to remove evnc, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove evnc
ppa:elementary-os/daily
ppa:l-admin-3/apps-daily
