Hello Linux Geeksters. In this article I will show you how to install Firefox 22 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

According to this announcement, some Firefox issues have been fixed by Canonical. If the user opened, by mistake a crafted page, the attacker could run code on the user’s computer, with the users that opened Firefox’s privileges.

All the Firefox users must update their Firefox, to Firefox 22. This an easy task, since Mozilla offers a PPA for security updates:

$ sudo add-apt-repositoryppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install firefox
