In this article I will show you how to install Firefox 26 on Fedora 20, Fedora 19, Fedora 18 and CentOS 6.

Because Firefox 26 has been added to the default repos of Fedora 20, Fedora 19 and Fedora 18, installing it is easy. All you have to do is:

$ sudo yum update
$ sudo yum install firefox

In order to get Firefox 26 on CentOS 6 systems, we have to install and activate the remi and epel repositories, update the local repo index and install the firefox package. Like this:

$ wget Uvh http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
$ sudo rpm -Uvh epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
$ wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/enterprise/remi-release-6.rpm
$ sudo rpm -Uvh remi-release-6.rpm
$ sudo yum --enablerepo=remi update firefox
$ sudo yum update
$ sudo yum install firefox
