Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may already know, the Mozilla developers have been working hard in the last year, in order to get the new browser theme, called Australis, ready for release. Australis has a modern and simplistic look with monochrome icons, rounded tabs, bookmarks, download panel, all together providing a Chrome-like eye experience. See the above screenshot for more information.

Firefox’s Australis Theme has reached the nightly versions of Firefox on the 18th of November.
In this article I will show you how to install Firefox Nightly (with the Australis interface) on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia and Pear OS 8.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Firefox Nightly is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the firefox-trunk package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install firefox-trunk
In order to start the app, look for “Nightly Web Browser”, since the app is not named Firefox.
