Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Fotoxx is an open source photo editing program, working on Linux. It has support for the most important image formats, including JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and RAW. Fotoxx is mostly used for cropping, resizing or retouching photos, without using layers, like Photoshop. The latest version available is Fotoxx 13.10, which has been released a while ago, with bugfixes and improvements. For more information, see the official changelog.

In this article I will show you how to install Fotoxx 13.10 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna and Pear OS 8.

For Ubuntu 13.10 and Linux Mint 16, we have to download the Fotoxx 13.10 deb packages from the official site and install them with dpkg.

How to install Fotoxx 13.10 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Linux Mint 16 Petra:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget -c www.kornelix.com/uploads/1/3/0/3/13035936/fotoxx-13.10-i686.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i fotoxx-13.10-i686.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget -c www.kornelix.com/uploads/1/3/0/3/13035936/fotoxx-13.10-x86_64.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i fotoxx-13.10-x86_64.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f

Fotoxx 13.10 can be easily installed on Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 15, Linux Mint 14, Linux Mint 13, Pear OS 8 and Elementary OS 0.2, via PPA.

How to install Fotoxx 13.10 on Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 15, Linux Mint 14, Linux Mint 13, Elementary OS 0.2 and Pear OS 8:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
