Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, FrostWire is a free, open-source, cross-platform application, running on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. The latest version available is FrostWire 5.6.2, which comes with some fixes and improvements to the previous version.

In this article I will show you how to install FrostWire 5.6.2 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because it is available via the GetDeb PPA, installing FrostWire on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy. All you have to do is:
Download and install the GetDeb repository:
$ wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
Update the local repository index:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install FrostWire 5.6.2:
$ sudo apt-get install frostwire
