Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, FrostWire is a free, open-source, cross-platform application, running on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. The latest version available is FrostWire 5.6.3, which comes with some fixes. For a full list of features and changes, see this page.
In this article I will show you how to install FrostWire 5.6.3 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Debian Jessie, Debian Sid, Debian Wheezy and Debian Squeeze.
Because there is no PPA yet for installing FrostWire 5.6.3 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, we have to download the deb file from the official site,
$ wget -c dl.frostwire.com/frostwire/5.6.3/frostwire-5.6.3.all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i frostwire-5.6.3.all.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f
