Giada 0.8.3, is not available via PPA, but it can be downloaded from the official site and installed by hand. Just download the deb package for your Linux system and architecture and install it with dpkg -i.

How to install Giada 0.8.3 on 32 bit Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Crunchbang, KWheezy and Elementary OS systems:

$ wget -c www.giadamusic.com/download-action.php?os=linux-32
$ tar -xzvf giada-0.8.3-lin-i386.tar.gz
