Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Giada is a free DJ audio tool, capable of loading and recording up to 32 sample files. Giada 0.7.2 comes with many changes and improvements since the previous version. For a full list of changes and fixes, see the release note.
In this article I will show you how to install Giada on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
The latest version available is Giada 0.7.2, is not available via PPA, but it can be downloaded from the official site and installed by hand. Just download the package for your Linux system (deb) and install it with dpkg -i.
As an alternative, you can install Giada 0.7.1 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, because it is available via PPA. All you have to do is:
Add the PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kxstudio-team/ppa-staging
Update the local repository index:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install giada
