Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Grub Customizer is a nice application, that allows the user to edit the menu entries from the GRUB booting screen, set the default operating system, change the installed OS via a livecd.
The latest version available is Grub Customizer 4.0.6, which has been added to its PPA a few hours ago, coming with small fixes only.
In this article I will show you how to install Grub Customizer 4.0.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna and their derivative systems.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Grub Customizer 4.0.6 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint And Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the grub-customizer package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install grub-customizer
Optional, to remove grub-customizer, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove grub-customizer
Or, if you want to uninstall grub-customizer, disable the recently added PPA and downgrade all the packages that got updated via the PPA, do:
$ sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
$ sudo ppa-purge ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer

I really like this. It’s a wonderful front end app. A good replacement for Grub-manager which is no longer supported. I am running this on Linuxmint 18 LTR.
