Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Indicator Stickynotes is a small app, that allows you to pin stickynotes to your Indicator bar, in order not to forget things. It works with Unity, Gnome Shell, XFCE, KDE, MATE and Cinnamon. It is similar to the yellow colored sticky note program, installed by default on Windows 7 or Windows Vista.
In this article I will show you how to install Indicator Stickynotes on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because Indicator Stickynotes is available via PPA, installing it on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy, all you have to do is:
Add the repository:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:umang/indicator-stickynotes
Update the local repository index:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install Indicator Stickynotes:
$ sudo apt-get install indicator-stickynotes
Hey Geekster, thanks for the guide. Any chance you could do a follow up on how to install it in Fedora 19? Thanks in anticipation!
