Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, jAlbum is a set of tools that enable the users to easily create online photo albums (on jalbum.net or any other site) and manage the added photos. The users can also resize the photos, edit them, add watermarks, tags, sell images.

The latest version available is jAlbum 12, which has been recently released. For information about this release, see the changelog. Unfortunately, it is not free, so this is just a trial version which expires in 30 days. (you can see the prices here)

In this article I will show you how to install jAlbum 12 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, Debian, Fedora, CentOS, Mageia and OpenMandriva.

jAlbum 12 is not available via repository, but we can download the deb/rpm packages from the official site and install it via the default package manager.

How to install jAlbum 12 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Debian (for both 32 bit and 64 bit architectures):

Download jAlbum 12 for Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Debian

Install jAlbum 12:

$ sudo dpkg -i ~/Downloads/jalbum_12-1_all.deb

How to install jAlbum 12 on Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE and OpenMandriva (for both 32 bit and 64 bit architectures):

Download jAbum 12 for Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE and OpenMandriva

$ sudo rpm -i ~/Downloads/jalbum-12-1.noarch.rpm
